There are many ways to travel the city that are safe and comfortable for tourists.

One of the most popular ways to travel when sightseeing London is on one of the many brightly colored double-decker busses. These bright red busses have become an iconic symbol of the city and can be found at all of the popular tourist destinations. Some will take you to one destination and give you time to stop off and shop, while others will visit multiple sites and the guide will speak with travelers, informing them of history and facts along the way. Many of these busses are open air on the top level, so you can travel outside on warmer days. One of the most popular stops for these busses to make is at Piccadilly Circus, where travelers will be given a few hours to shop and explore the area before having to return to the bus.

You can also travel the famous London Underground or Tube train that runs beneath the city. Sometimes this is referred to simply as the T or the Underground by the locals. It is both fast and efficient and has stepped up security since the tragic bombings that occurred. Taxi is also a popular form of travel and the city is filled with high top cabs that are most often painted all black. There are tours that can be taken and you may even be able to catch a glimpse of the Queen Mother herself if you are lucky.

No trip to the city would be complete without a visit to Big Ben and the Tower of London. These can be accessed via a bridge known as the Tower Bridge. This Bridge is commonly called London Bridge by tourists but this moniker is incorrect. The giant Eye or Ferris Wheel is also a common attraction to visit when sightseeing London.
